Tudo pronto para mais uma edição do Video Music Awards! A tradicional premiação da MTV, que celebra os principais clipes do ano, está prestes a começar. Com uma longa lista de indicados, o VMA 2019 será transmitido ao vivo pela MTV a partir das 21h (horário de Brasília) e também pelo Twitter.
O ator e comediante Sebastian Maniscalco será o anfitrião da noite. Entre os apresentadores das categorias do VMA, estão Bebe Rexha, Billy Ray Cyrus, Hailee Steinfeld, John Travolta, Lenny Kravitz, Salt-N-Pepa, entre outros.
Tapete vermelho e apresentações
Serão três shows ao vivo antes mesmo da cerimônia. Ava Max, CNCO e Megan Thee Stallion se apresentam ainda no tapete vermelho, durante a entrada dos artistas. Neste momento, também acontece a entrega do prêmio Artista Push, que conta com Billie Eilish, CINCO e Lizzo como favoritos.
O VMA deste ano traz muita nostalgia pop e romance. Taylor Swift e os Jonas Brothers abrem a cerimônia, com apresentações especiais. Entre as performances mais aguardadas, estão Shawn Mendes e Camila Cabello com Señorita e a estreia do single de Normani, Motivation.
Completam a lista de performances ao vivo Bad Bunny, Big Sean feat A$AP Ferg, H.E.R., J Balvin, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Miley Cyrus, Ozuna e Rosalía.
Homenagem ao hip hop no VMA
Celebrando a carreira de Missy Elliott, a artista receberá o prêmio Michael Jackson Vanguard Awards. Aproveitando o gancho, o VMA receberá apresentações diversas em homenagem ao gênero musical.
Entre os artistas confirmados, estão Fetty Wap, Naughty By Nature, Queen Latifah, Redman e Wyclef Jean. As apresentações encerram a noite.

Ariana Grande e Taylor Swift são as mais indicadas do ano, competindo em 10 categorias cada. Billie Eilish também conquista bom espaço na competição, com nove indicações.
A maior surpresa da noite é o country rapper Lil Nas X, indicado a oito prêmios. O dono do hit Old Town Road, que viralizou nas paradas das últimas semanas, tem boas chances de levar as principais categorias.
