Com isso, o artista se revoltou e criticou publicamente os responsáveis pela premiação. Agora, outros artistas se manifestaram sobre o assunto. “Acho que devemos parar de nos permitir ficar chocados todos os anos com a desconexão entre a música impactante e esses prêmios e apenas aceitar que o que antes era a forma mais alta de reconhecimento pode não importar mais para os artistas que existem agora e os que virão depois”, escreveu Drake. Beyoncé lidera com nove indicações no total, incluindo Canção do Ano (Black Parade) e Gravação do Ano (Black Parade e Savage Remix). Ela também participou de Melhor Performance de Rap, Melhor Canção de Rap, Melhor Performance de R&B, Melhor Canção de R&B, Melhor Filme Musical (Black Is King) e Melhor Vídeo Musical (Brown Skin Girl). O Grammy acontece no dia 31 de janeiro. Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa e Roddy Ricch estão todos empatados no segundo lugar, com seis indicações cada. Phoebe Bridgers está concorrendo ao primeiro Grammy.
