RBG, Game of Thrones e Vingadores: Ultimato lideram o MTV Movie & TV Awards 2019 com quatro indicações cada. A premiação irá acontecer em 17 de junho, no Barker Hangar, em Santa Monica, Califórnia (EUA).
Neste ano, as novas categorias incluem Realeza dos Realities, Momento Mais Meme-Morável e Melhor Herói da Vida Real, além das já consagradas, como Melhor Beijo, Melhor Herói e Melhor Vilão.
RBG é indicado a Melhor Documentário, Momento Mais Meme-Morável e Melhor Herói da Vida Real. Ruth Bader Ginsburg faz história sendo a primeira figura pública a ser indicada na categoria Melhor Briga.
A última temporada de Game of Thrones recebeu quatro indicações, incluindo Melhor Série pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, Melhor Herói (Maisie Williams como Arya Stark), Melhor Atuação – Série (Emilia Clarke como Daenerys Targaryen) e Melhor Briga (Arya Stark vs. os Caminhantes Brancos).
No ano passado, a MTV foi a primeira grande premiação a nomear Pantera Negra e este ano é a primeira a reconhecer o recorde de Vingadores: Ultimato, que possui quatro indicações, incluindo Melhor Filme, Melhor Briga, Melhor Herói (Robert Downey Jr. como Tony Stark/Homem de Ferro) e Melhor Vilão (Josh Brolin como Thanos).
O apresentador da premiação, Zachary Levi, também recebeu indicações nas categorias Melhor Herói e Melhor Atuação Cômica por seu papel como Billy Batson/Shazam em Shazam!
